Original Chess ProblemBack to problems Robert Knighton (2013-06-06 22:32:02) Original Chess Problem ChessPosition (see diagram) White to play and win in 13 moves. This is not a computer stumper. Houdini finds the White to move and win in 13 pretty quick and finds the correct first move almost instantly.
Josef Riha (2013-06-09 09:06:36) Original Chess Problem 1. Ng6! Correct? Robert Knighton (2013-06-09 14:34:08) Original Chess Problem 1. Ng6! is the correct first move. If you want the full line for the mate (or to confirm the first move) in 13 Houdini finds it pretty fast. (Probably other top engines like stockfish or critter would also) It's a fun puzzle to find a solution without a computer (IMHO). Congratz :) Josef Riha (2013-06-16 19:08:15) Original Chess Problem Here are a few more moves: 1. ..hxg6 2. Qh1 Qh5 3. Bxh5 Bg5 4. Bxg6 Bh6 5. Rxc4 Nxa2 6. Rh4 Nc3 Hope, this line is ok. Gary Conner (2013-09-18 07:43:22) Original Chess Problem Ng6 is lethal
