White to mate in as few moves as possible.
The catch however is that White may only move his King.

So 1.Kf7 d4 2.Ke7 dxc3 3.Kf6 c2 4.Kf7. Neat!

But why "in as few moves as possible"? Is there a longer solution?

You are on to the right track but
1.Kf7 d4 2.Ke7 Kg7!
and Black escapes ;)

Philip Roe    (2011-02-10 06:31:18)

Oh dear, yes. Then 1.Kf7 d4 2.Kf6 dxc3 3.Ke6! Kg7/g8 4.Ke7 Kh8 5.Kf6 c2 6.Kf7

And White could waste time with 5.Ke6 so there are longer solutions.

Not quite there yet buddy ;)
1.Kf7 d4 2.Kf6 dxc3 3.Ke6 Kg8 4.Ke7+ Kg7!
and Black escapes again...
