Nelson Mandela
Nelson Rolihlahla Mandela (born 18 July 1918) was an anti-apartheid activist and the leader of Umkhonto we Sizwe, the armed wing of the African National Congress (ANC) before having been elected as the first South African president [from 1994 to 1999] in a fully representative democratic election. In 1962 he was arrested and sentenced to life in prison, where he'll spend 27 years. He received more than 250 awards, including the 1993 Nobel Peace Prize.
Nelson Rolihlahla Mandela (né le 18 juillet 1918, également appelé "Madiba") fut le président de la République d'Afrique du Sud de 1994 à 1999 après avoir été l'un des meneurs historiques de la lutte contre le système politique d'apartheid. Il fut élu lors des premières élections nationales non-raciales dans l'histoire de l'Afrique du Sud.
