Miss Kittin
Miss Kittin, également connue sous le pseudo de Plastikgirl est une DJ de la scène techno/rave originaire de Grenoble où elle est née en 1973, de son vrai nom Caroline Hervé. Elle est l'une des artistes françaises de cette scène parmi les plus connues à l'étranger où elle a participé à de nombreux événements incontournables.
Elle a notamment travaillé avec un autre grenoblois au pseudonyme inquiétant: The Hacker (Michel Amato), qui fut co-fondateur du label Goodlife. Ils sortent ensemble plusieurs disques : Tekmics Dicks, gratin dauphinois, Vaudeville. Ils signent rapidement sur le label de DJ Hell.
"First Album" de Miss Kittin & The Hacker est sorti en 2001. Les morceaux de cet album sont assez minimaux, répétitifs et efficaces, proches de la New Wave synthétique, avec des influences venant de l'EBM (The Neon Judgement, The Young Gods), de la New Beat et bien sûr de la Techno de Detroit (Drexciya) ou de l'Electronica (Dopplereffekts).
