Christianity
Christianity (literally from the Greek: "anointed one") is a monotheistic religion based on the life and teachings of Jesus of Nazareth counted in the New Testament.
According to christians, Jesus is the son of God and Christ or Messiah prophesied in the Hebrew Bible which is the part of scripture common to both Christianity and Judaism. The foundation of Christian theology, predominantly accepted by followers of the Christian faith, claim that Jesus died from crucifixion, was buried and resurrected from the dead to open heaven to those who believe in him and trust him for the remission of their sins (salvation). It also claims that Jesus bodily ascended into heaven where he reigns with God the Father. Finally in some cases it claims that Jesus will return to judge all humans, living and dead, and grant eternal life to his followers.
