TARANU TAKES ON MOGO:
"The French town of Rennes will host a 4-round showdown between man and machine on May 22 when 2008 European champion Catalin Taranu 5P takes on the computer go program MOGO. The event will take place at "Espace des sciences", during the "Numeriquement Votre" exhibition. This "will be the first time a go professional will compete in four rounds with MOGO, in the 9x9 format of the game," reports project manager Marc Jegou. In last year's first challenge between MOGO and Taranu - during the Paris Easter Pandanet Go tournament - Taranu won 2-1. Check out a video here."
