Le réalisateur de la célèbre mais relativement soporifique série des Ocean's a fait appel à l'une des plus grande porn stars américaines pour tenir le premier rôle de son film à petit budget "The Girlfriend Experience", l'un des films d'une série de 6 commandés par le géant du multimédia Mark Cuban.

Le scénario a été écrit par Brian Koppelman et David Levien, auteurs également de Ocean's Thirteen. Le film raconte le quotidien d'une call girl de luxe. Mais qui est donc cette actrice ?

Sasha Grey est née à Sacramento et a été plongée dans le monde du porno dès l'âge de 18 ans, elle a gagné l'AVN de la meilleure performance féminine de l'année. Pour donner une idée, elle a pour modèle une certaine Belladonna, actrice de films porno extrêmes, et tourne dans des films gonzo à caractère sado-masochiste. Elle a tourné plus de 150 films en 2 ans dont un film intitulé Sasha Grey's Anatomy, utilisant ainsi le nom de la célèbre série américaine. Aujourd'hui elle parle de cinéma, de littérature, dit admirer le travail de Soderbergh depuis très longtemps et cite Catherine Breillat comme l'un de ses cinéastes favoris.
