Overclocking processeur i7 920

Bonjour, je voudrais savoir si il y a des risques à overclocker un processeur Intel i7 920 sur un ordinateur Acer Aspire M7721-8W79 (6 Go de Ram) et surtout si c'est vraiment utile, est-ce que la transmission des données (bus, ram etc...) n'est pas limitée de toutes façons en vitesse par d'autres composants (vous remarquez mon ignorance au passage dans le sujet) ?

Bref, est-ce qu'on gagne autant en vitesse proportionnellement à l'augmentation de la fréquence d'horloge, et surtout la question fatidique, comment qu'on fait-on pour overclocker ce processeur, quelle fréquence vaut-il mieux choisir et avec quel voltage ? Je voudrais des chiffres de source sûre, je voudrais quand même éviter de foutre le processeur en l'air.
