Miss Venezuela is Miss Universe 2009

The ceremony was broadcasted in 125 countries and at the end Miss Venezuela, a brown-haired 18 years young girl named Stefania Fernandez has become Miss Universe 2009.

Last year, it was another Miss Venezuela, Dayana Mendoza, who was Miss Universe 2008, consequently this was a real surprise for this south american country who saw its Miss sacred Miss Universe for the 6th time in 59 years.

Miss France 2009, Chloé Mortaud, who has american origins too, finished in the first ten places. The only Miss France to be sacred Miss Universe was Christiane Martel, Miss France 1953.

Stefania Fernandez will receive a money prize that has not been revealed yet, also $100,000 to study in New York (she would like to become an actress), a journey in the Bahamas and other prizes.
