Merge Panasonic HDC-TM700 MTS Videos into One File for WD TV

I use the WD TV remote to play the folder with the .mts files recorded using the new Panasonic HDC-TM700. Even though Western Digital TV media player can play .mts files sequentially, there are pauses in playback of sequential .mts files. The small delay is likely 2 seconds. I used tsmuxer to join the .mts files for a more complete viewing experience, but the large output .m2ts video playback present on WDTV shows that the audio track falls behind the video about a second.

When looking for joining mts files for WDTV without quality loss, I find the tsMuxer alternative named Aunsoft Final Mate. It works like a charm when I import my videos, as it would automatically merge the video clips for me, and provide excellent output video quality with fast speed.

Below is my experience about joining sequential .mts fles into one larger file for WDTV in perfect sync. With Aunsoft Final Mate, you will not get quality lost when merging camcorder videos.

Step 1. Capture Panasonic TM700 MTS to Aunsoft Final Mate.
Run Aunsoft Final Mate as the tsmuxer alternative for avoiding re-encoding, and connect Panasonic HDC-TM700 to PC with USB cable. Click the Camcorder button and you will face the following window to backup or import video. Here we choose to import for quickly capture .mts files. Then click the Next button to create movie with files in same format and click Finish button to import camcorder videos.

This process is for automatic joining Panasonic HDC-TM700, you may also notice that the camcorder model and manufacturer info are listed on the wizard window for your preference.

If you have already copied the AVCHD file from camcorder to computer hard drive, just click the Import button on the main interface to browse the .mts files. Video clips with same format/recording mode will be created as one movie automatically.

Step 2. Confirm the joined mts files.
As we mentioned above, the video clips with the same format imported at a time will be joined as one movie automatically. Click the play button on the preview window to confirm the joined mts files.

Step 3. Lossless output for joining Panasonic HDC-TM700 MTS.
Click the Export button and you click the OK button to start merging Panasonic HDC-TM700 .mts files into one for WD TV playback. The output file format for the non-conversion export is the original file extension in .mts.

Soon after merging Panasonic HDC-TM700 mts files into one large clip, it is easy to put the videos to WD TV media player. You will notice that there is no quality lost when joining MTS files for WD TV.
