How to make a GIF ?

Hi,

I'd like to make GIF pictures with Adobe Photoshop 7 but I can't find a way to save my pictures as GIF, that's quite strange as it was simple to export pictures to this format with previous versions.

Also is it possible to produce animated GIF with Adobe Photoshop and if not which is the best free software to do that ?

How to make a GIF ?

Maybe it depends on the format or colors of your picture. Internet is full of tutorials for Photoshop.
