How to be in Google search results ?

Hello,

I just created my first web site and I would like to be ranked first if possible in Google search results for the keyword "race", what can I do to achieve this ?

I suggested my link to all major search engines like Google, Yahoo and Bing but nothing happens, I do not have any visitor from them yet.

Thanks for your help !
