Google "Stop" Words
Does anyone know whether a dash ("-") is considered a "stop" word? In other words, will Google ignore it like it would, say, the word "the" in a domain name? Also, if I have a choice between a long-tail (4-word) DN with dashes & '.net', and the same DN with "The" preceding it with '.com' and without the dashes (making it a 5-word DN), which would be better in Google's eyes? In other words, which is better: 1) Four-Word-Domain-Name.net OR 2) TheFourWordDomainName.com ? Thanks! Richard charlottemanage (2011-06-14 21:59:10) Google "Stop" Words Yes they are stop words.
