Difference between FTP, FTPS & SFTP

Hi, I just would like to know the difference between FTP & SFTP & FTPS, is it Secured File Transfer Protocol or something else as I've read ?

What informations do you need to connect to a server with SSL and what software do you use ?

My company just started using a product from a company in the United States called GoAnywhere Director because it handles both SFTP and FTPS along with data transformation and auditing. They are very nice and helpful over the telephone. This product does all the FTP, SFTP, FTPS, and HTTPS transfers, so we just pick the one our trading partner requests and we have no guesswork.
