Comments at resignationBack to forum Nigel Colter (2006-09-16) Comments at resignation How can you reply with a comment eg 'Well played' after your opponent has just resigned and sent a comment? Thibault de Vassal (2006-09-17 00:25:59) Comments at resignation Hi Nigel. Ok... I just made this update : Any updated public comment will be forwarded by email to your opponent, so that you can discuss after the game... Don Groves (2006-09-17 08:48:46) Good! This partially resolves the "not being able to readily communicate with others" problem. Nigel Colter (2006-09-18 12:18:48) Comments at resignation Hi Thibault Does the instruction make an 'updated public comment' mean go to the Forum section and type in a message. Presumably with the opponent's name in the 'Response' box? Please clarify. Many thanks Nigel Thibault de Vassal (2006-09-18 14:03:51) Comments at resignation Hi Nigel. I mean, using the "Public comment" text area at the bottom of the viewer / move page (the first page when you're to make a move).. There are 2 fields : "Personal notes" and "Public comment". The public comment appears to all and will be emailed to your opponent ! Best regards. Nigel Colter (2006-09-22 21:50:39) Comments at Resignation Thibault Many thanks. I now understand that when an opponent resigns and sends a comment that you cannot give a quick reply directly. You must go to an unrelated game and use the comments facilities there. Do you plan to make this process more intuitive in a future software upgrade? Nigel Thibault de Vassal (2006-09-22 22:16:08) Unrelated ? Hello Nigel. Why unrelated ? .. You can leave a comment in any of your finished game, through 'My tournaments' in example. Another way is to change the game number in the url : user_page.php?page=viewer&game=1
